Chelsea Pribble graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Dance in 2014. During her time at UT, she focused on Ballet and Contemporary techniques, acted in main stage productions, and performed in singer/songwriter competitions. In addition, she was a part of the department’s Dance Repertory Theatre where she appeared in pieces by Ohad Naharin, Mark Morris, David Parsons, Charles O. Anderson, Yoav Kaddar, and Yacov Sharir. Chelsea also wrote and choreographed a main stage production sponsored by the Cohen New Works Festival called Wild Abandon. Wild Abandon integrates original blues music with concert dance featuring a five piece band and dancers. In the summer of 2013, she attended the American Ballet Theatre’s Collegiate Summer Intensive in New York and in 2012 she performed in the Big Range Austin Dance Festival. Chelsea has also trained in jazz and rhythmic tap for 15 years and attended Jackson School for the Arts in Massillon, OH before college. Last year, she taught Jazz, Ballet, and Contemporary at St. Stephens Episcopal School and youth Ballet and Tap at the YMCA Town Lake branch. This summer, she received her Hatha Yoga teacher’s certificate through Black Swan Yoga. Chelsea is looking forward to teaching the students of Alisa’s Dance Academy.
